9/29/2017 0 Comments September 29th, 2017In this assignment I had to create Andy Warhol inspired photo edit. I made this in Photoshop by changing the shape of the original photo, arranging it, and changing the color. In this project, I learned how to alter the hue of the picture as well as the saturation and lightness of the hue. I really enjoyed this project because I am a fan of Andy Warhol's work.

9/28/2017 0 Comments Animal shooting assignmentFinal photo: f 2.8 shutter speed: 1/80 ISO: 400 A couple other photographs This is my first shooting assignment and I chose the animal subject. I chose this subject because of love taking photographs of my dog, Chloe. She is very photogenic and does very nice poses that are perfect for photography. I learned how balance ISO, shutter speed, and aperture on manual. It was a challenge, but I really enjoyed the photoshoot with my dog.

In the last photo, I used the shutter speed of 1/40 to show the subject in a stop and motion. What I learned: During this assignment I learned, how different a picture can look with a different shutter speed, and how shutter speed works with motion. With a faster shutter speed it can freeze an image, and the subject in an image when changed in motion. With a slower shutter speed, the image showed more blur from the subject in an image when changed in motion. Aperture assignmentf 2.8 3.5 f 5.0 f 8.0 What I was trying to show: In the first picture with an aperture of 2.8, I tried to have the main focus of the composition be the flowers. With f 2.8, the flowers that are closer to the lens are more of a blur, while the flowers behind it are in focus. For the picture with the aperture of 8.0, I was trying to get the flowers closer to the lens in focus, while the flowers in the back are out of focus because of a short depth of field. What I learned: In this assignment, I learned how to control the different apertures so that I could create different depths of field. One other thing I learned was how to focus on a certain subject, while the rest of the photograph is blurred out.

I review the different techniques that I previously learned. I learned to practice these techniques on a digital camera. Within these techniques, I learned how to show them with a certain type of light or angle. Welcome to Natalie Merkle Photography! I'm Natalie Merkle. I attend Saline High school in Saline, Michigan. I am a sophomore. My Father works at Ford and my Mother is an artist. In school, I enjoy taking many art classes, including some photography classes. I previously took darkroom photography in my Freshmen year. Outside of school, I do art, as well as cooking, crafting, practicing beauty, and spending time with my family and friends. I've always enjoyed photography. It started with just taking pictures on a cell phone and a polaroid camera. Once I began high school, I learned to take black and white photography, as well as professional digital photography. I took this class to expand my photography knowledge, digitally. I hope you enjoy my website!
